Richard Wallace
Wallace is a self-taught painter who demonstrates technical brilliance and a great understanding of the human form. He was awarded ‘Young Artist Award’ by the Manchester Academy of Fine Art, and has also exhibited at Londons’ Royal Academy. Later, he was ‘Artist in Residence’ at Derby City Art Gallery, having been awarded the ‘Silver Palette’ First Prize.

“I like to paint the fluid line of humanity; to wrestle it with big, swirling strokes and then caress, etch and chivvy in the detail. My work celebrates the human role, relying on the language of the body.”
