Osmar Schindler (1867 – 1927) was a German painter belonging to the Dresden Academy school of artists. His works were considered a mixture of impressionism and Art Nouveau. He was born in the village of Burkhardtsdorf, but grew up in the small town of Bischofswerda, 33 km east of Dresden.
